Oh dear. I've lost count of all further expenses that 'Electron' has incurred. In 2015 I had the misfortune of having to repair the stern, as the fenders were not lowered as I reversed into the marina. A stanchion and both guard rail wires were replaced when the yacht was lifted and dropped against a side wall as a result of the aftermath of the meltemi when moored in Ermioni. I also had to replace the battery charger and bought and installed a remote windlass for the anchor. I'm sure there were many other expenses over the course of the 2015 season but by July I had made the decision to exchange Electron for a newer model. Clipper Marine had offered me the opportunity to buy a brand new Bavaria 37 Cruiser and they would take my yacht in part exchange. Only problem, they required the yacht to be brought back to the UK - Swanwick, which brought about a new adventure!!!
